On 3rd. November. 09 , we have submitted our homework for scale and chord. Mr. Hery checked who didn't submit it and mentioned to us that this will be come out for our written test again. He also rechecked students who didn't submit their midifile and finale file also. He also told us about the rehearsal about the solo performance on Thursday as well. After anouncing all the information that are needed, we started to discuss about the scale and chord again.

Music Reflection of Term 2 #5

On 29th. October, 2009, we have learned the major scale and chord. As usual, Mr. Hery tried to do his best to make us understand about all the theories which were discussed at class. He wrote the notes on the board and called each name of the classes and we need to answer the questions as specific as we can. Then, he gave us the homework for the scale and chord because it would come our for our written test.

The strength i had for this lesson was not really that much because this was the worst part i have ever met during the music class. When i played my own instrument, i was not sure about the scale and chord well because the only thing we have to know is the note and technique during playing a song. However, this is one hundred percent theory so it is natural that this part was very difficult for me to understand.

For the next time, i would like to preview the topic first at home because it was really hard for me to understand at that time. Actually, i am not that good now too (better than before). So, i would participate the class more actively and attentively as well.

Music Reflection of Term 2 #4

On 27. October. 09, we had assignments which are to submit 5 midifiles and one of which we need to change to the finale software. Then Mr. Hery taught us how to convert the midi file into the finale file. The process is like this. When we downloaded the midifiles from the google site, then the first things we need to do is of course saving. After it, we need to take a step of downloading the program of finale which is the program that is really useful for makinig the composition and the like. However, when we downloaded it we couldn't open it directly. The problem is that! So, Mr.Hery explained how to open it with some kinds of files and converting process as well. Finally, we wrote our daily reflection and went to our own instrument class to practice our selected instrument.

There are somse difficulties when i understand what Mr. Hery explained to me which is that finale software. The finale software is too difficult to open for me because in fact, i was not good at controlling the computer so much. Then, i need more time to understand it from the start. However, he didn't give his explanation up then i could do now well!

The strength i encountered during these tasks is converting part. It was really easy for me because it only requires to open the file and click a tool. I was so excited and interested in that part.

For the next time, i would like to do the work more attentively. Actually, i had some more questions but didn't ask to Mr. Hery because there are endless things to discuss in music class. However, i will ask all the questions i have for the next time.

Reflection of Music Term 2

Today, we had a solo performance of our own instrument. As my instrument is cello, i performed with it in front of our classmates. My classmates look my performance carefully and attentively, as well as the teachers took the video of my performance in camera. The song that all the students use is their own song, and they have to know how to perforom it which measn to say they need to know how to ready the scales well. The order for solo performance is divided into the groups such as violin group, piano group, guitar group and flute group.
