Reflection of music
We have had a lot of activities and work for this music class. The first day of music class, we talked about the class rules and regulations which are compulsory things we need to follow. The regulatioins or rules contains these kinds of things. For example, when we enter the music class, we should be quiet, be aware of our tidiness, and proper uniform. The second rule is bringing the necessary tools which are student journal, writing tools, music books, music folder, and of course our own selected instrument. The third regulation is whenever we have something to discuss or talk to the teacher, we must raise our hand first. The final rule is being proactive. As we haven't selected our instruments, we also divided the groups for each instrument such as violin/cello, piano, woodwind, and guitar. The next music class, we discussed about the popular music we searced for the homework, and we practice the song named 'heal the world' as well. On 30th. July. 09, we learned about bass clerf and teachers gave us the homework about fiding infromation about musician following by our last name which will be the second assignment after submitting the research of popular music. On 5th. August. 09, our homework should be submitted by today which is for booklet about popular singer. As soon as the homework was done, another homework which is about searching information about classical composer due date nextweek. On 6th. August. 09, the day will be come for the celebration of indepedent day. As a binusian, we have to know how to sing a national indepedent song. After finishing a national indepedent song, we have learned minor natural and minor harmonic. On August, 11st, 09, we submitted homework which is about classical muic naturally, and Mr. Hery taught us the comprison about the music more specifically. Furthermore, we presentated about information about classical and popular music. In one group, there are 6 students. Our group which has Sonya, Hyun Joo, Minji, Juan, Tae hoon, and I presentated the slide in front of students. Our group got A- for our group presentation. For example, those are about C, F, and G major. On August, 09 we learned how to write our final reflection which has to be blgged by accessing internet, and we have to prepare for the performance. On Thursday, we finally performed our instrument which will be our assessement which will be contained GPA. I played the cello with the song of Gavotte. Teachers and friends saw what i was playing and even i was too nervous to move my hand, i finished it until the end. These are the things i have learned during the music class.
During these many different activities i have learned, i have too many mistakes and weaknesses. However, as there are a lot of mistakes and weaknesses, i have strenght as well. The most difficult sections are the performance. I started my cello when i was grade 8, and it has been only 1 year. My performance was not really good because there are some points we need to follow to get the highest mark such as technique, expression, posture and the like. Especially, there is a camera which took our performance and it made me more nervous. Perhaps, i could not get the all points which distinguished my marks. The second difficulty is researching problem. At home, there is no internet access at that time so that i had to go to the internet cafe to do my homework and finding information is not really easy also. I had to spend much time to complete my homework. The final weakness is my nervousness. When i presentated our group slide, i was also too nervous to get attentive for my presentation. My only remained strength is organizing and well-recognized booklet. I could do the booklet to submit to teacher well because there have been a lot of tasks like this before so i could do it without any difficulty. And also another strength is my attentiveness for class rules. During this term, i have gotten zero reminder or breach. This is my best strength for the music class.
If there is one more chance for me to do the music tasks or any music assessment, i will modify my behavior to listen carefullly to the teachers and follow the instruction carefully as well. For the next time i will also try to understand what i have learned and review at home also.
